Hold The W Issue 26 - Streak Over - KC Shocks San Diego
The WNFC's biggest storyline of the season arrived in Week 6: the San Diego Rebellion's unbeaten run is over. Kansas City rallied from a 14-0 halftime deficit, scoring 20 unanswered points in the second half to hand San Diego their first regular season loss since 2023. Kassidy Snowden sparked the rally with a 58-yard punt return for a touchdown — KC's first score of the game — and Maria Fautali took over from there with 129 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Elsewhere, Atlanta posted a 20-0 shutout of Jersey Shore behind Kendra Gabriel's 164 rushing yards and 2 scores, and Los Angeles blanked Seattle 21-0 on the road. Tennessee finally got on the scoreboard — their first points of the season — but still fell 29-6 to Florida. Golden State edged Oregon 14-8 to improve to 3-2. With two unbeaten teams remaining in Texas Elite and Utah, and the playoff picture tightening, Week 7 features the marquee matchup of the season: the Spartans host the red-hot Glory in Arlington.

The upset of the season. San Diego looked in complete control with a 14-0 halftime lead, but the Glory flipped the script in the second half with 20 unanswered points. Kassidy Snowden ignited the comeback with a 58-yard punt return for a touchdown — KC's first score of the game — and Maria Fautali took over from there, powering the Glory with 129 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 18 carries, including a 68-yard touchdown run. Ronnise Wilson — a former Rebellion player from their 2018 inaugural season — recorded an interception and fumble recovery against her former team. Danny Trainor was held to just 41 passing yards on 26.3% completion for the Rebellion, who suffer their first loss of 2026 — and their first regular season loss since 2023. Kesz Wesley rushed for 57 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first half for San Diego, but the offense went silent after the break.

Jacksonville, FL
Florida Avengers29
Tennessee Trojans6

Tennessee finally got on the scoreboard in 2026 — their first points of the season after being shut out for four straight games — but it wasn't enough as Florida pulled away for a 29-6 victory. Aniya Hall-McDowell rushed for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Avengers, while Aladrian Graham added 33 yards and a score. Charon Sweeney threw a 14-yard touchdown pass for the Trojans' lone score. Deja Terry's interception return for a touchdown highlighted the Avengers' defensive effort. Florida improves to 2-3 while Tennessee drops to 0-5.

Oakland, CA
Golden State Storm14
Oregon Ravens8

A defensive battle in Oakland saw the Storm grind out a 14-8 win over Oregon. Stephanie Elizondo threw for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns on 66.7% completion, connecting with Sylvia Sloss (5 catches, 60 yards, 1 TD) and Kiana Gordon (3 catches, 39 yards, 1 TD). Camille Wilson led Oregon's ground game with 80 rushing yards on 23 carries, and Isabelle Bartter rushed for 12 yards and a touchdown. Leilani Caamal continued her tackle dominance with another huge game as Golden State improves to 3-2.

Kent, WA
Los Angeles Legends21
Seattle Majestics0

The Legends posted their second shutout of the season, blanking the winless Majestics 21-0 on the road. Jazmin Gamble-Tello powered the ground attack with 118 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, while Miriah Lopez added 30 rushing yards and a score. Alaina Valmassei threw for 65 yards for Seattle but couldn't find the end zone. Los Angeles improves to 3-2 and stays in the Pacific Division hunt behind San Diego.

GAME OF THE WEEK

The week's premier matchup pits the league's last remaining unbeaten team against the hottest team in the WNFC — and these two have history. Kansas City was the last team to beat Texas Elite, upsetting the Spartans 20-14 in Kansas City in Week 1 of the 2025 season. Texas has been on a 12-game winning streak since. Now the Glory come to Arlington looking to do it again, riding the momentum of their stunning upset of San Diego. The Spartans' defense allows a league-low 3.0 points per game with Whitney Palmer's 5.5 sacks leading the charge, while the offense has scored 136 points behind Tara Thomas (415 rush yds, 6 TD) and Michelle Angel (426 pass yds, 6 TD). Kansas City counters with the league's most dangerous player in Maria Fautali (524 rush yds, 9 TD).

Chicago Winds
1-3
vs
Atlanta Truth
3-2
5:00 PM CST

Atlanta travels to Chicago riding a two-game winning streak that includes a 62-2 demolition of Florida and a 20-0 shutout of Jersey Shore. Kendra Gabriel (481 rush yds, 8 TD) and Zoe Jackson (385 rec yds, 6 TD) form one of the league's most dangerous offensive duos. The Winds are struggling at 1-3 with their offense averaging just 8.2 points per game — the second-lowest in the league. Chicago will need Sarah Teubner to find her early-season form if they want to stay in the playoff conversation.

Washington Prodigy
3-1
vs
Jersey Shore Wave
1-3
6:00 PM EST

A rematch of the Week 4 showdown where Washington hung 59 points on the Wave. Jersey Shore has lost three straight since their Week 2 win, while the Prodigy sit comfortably atop the Atlantic Division at 3-1. Ashley Clark (446 pass yds, 3 TD) and Keena Samuels (342 rush yds, 4 TD) give Washington a balanced attack that Jersey Shore's defense — which has allowed 141 points this season — will struggle to contain.

Tennessee Trojans
0-5
vs
Mississippi Panthers
3-1
5:00 PM CST

Tennessee scored their first points of the season in Week 6 but remains winless at 0-5 as they host the Panthers. Mississippi has won three straight behind one of the league's stingiest defenses (7.2 pts allowed/game, 2nd in WNFC) and Shardonay Jenkins' 4.5 sacks. The Panthers' defense will look to clamp down on a Trojans offense that has scored just 6 points all season, though Dionna Jackson-Ross (3.0 sacks) and Allyssa Weatherd (60 tackles) give Tennessee some defensive fight.

Oregon Ravens
1-3
vs
Las Vegas Silver Stars
0-4
7:00 PM PST

Two teams searching for answers meet in Milwaukie. Oregon has dropped three straight after their Week 2 win, while Las Vegas remains the only winless team in the Pacific Division at 0-4. The Ravens' ground game — led by Chloe Porter (186 yds) and Camille Wilson (176 yds) — should be the difference against a Silver Stars defense that has allowed 118 points this season. This is a must-win for Oregon to stay relevant in the playoff picture.

Utah Falconz
4-0
vs
Seattle Majestics
0-4
6:00 PM MST

The undefeated Falconz host the winless Majestics in Salt Lake City. Utah has been one of the league's most balanced teams with Gina Mondragon (290 rush yds, 4 TD) leading the ground attack and a defense that allows just 11.8 points per game. Seattle has been shut out in two of their four losses and will need a massive performance from Adriana Gutierrez and the defense to pull off what would be the biggest upset of the season. Utah should handle business at home.
