Week 2 Shakes Up the League:
Shutouts, Statement Wins & Breakout Performances
Panthers stun Winds • Truth explode for 50 • Storm brewing in the Bay
San Diego Rebellion
The San Diego Rebellion (2-0) march out for their Week 2 home showdown against Los Angeles
If Week 1 established the pecking order, Week 2 tore it to shreds. The Mississippi Panthers — held to just 6 points and zero third-down conversions in their opener — flipped the script entirely, shutting out the high-powered Chicago Winds 24-0 in the most dominant defensive performance of the young season. Chicago's Sarah Teubner, who threw for 189 yards and 4 touchdowns while adding a rushing score in Week 1, was held to just 31 yards on 4-of-15 passing. Meanwhile, Atlanta's Renee Langlais put on a passing clinic with 218 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Truth demolished the Jersey Shore Wave 50-13 on the road. The Golden State Storm earned their first-ever franchise victory, dominating Las Vegas 31-2 behind Stephanie Elizondo's 134 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. The Rebellion, Spartans, and Falconz all stayed unbeaten at 2-0, while the Tennessee Trojans remain winless and scoreless through two games. Week 3 brings a reduced five-game slate headlined by a battle of 1-1 squads in Atlanta as the Truth host the Panthers.

The marquee matchup of Week 3 features two teams heading in opposite directions after splitting their first two games. Atlanta's offense came alive in Week 2 behind Renee Langlais, who threw for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 50-13 demolition of Jersey Shore — the highest-scoring game of the season. Kendra Gabriel added 129 rushing yards and 2 scores on the ground. Mississippi, meanwhile, delivered a defensive masterpiece, shutting out Chicago's previously explosive offense 24-0 and holding Sarah Teubner to just 31 yards passing. The Panthers also found offensive life with Sckiya Banister breaking out for 108 rushing yards. The question is whether Atlanta's red-hot passing attack can solve a Mississippi defense that just silenced one of the league's best quarterbacks.

LA Legends
1-1
vs
Tennessee Trojans
0-2
6:00 PM PST • Apr 11

The Legends host a Tennessee squad still searching for its first points of the 2026 season. The Trojans have been shut out in both games — 33-0 by Chicago in Week 1 and 21-0 by Florida in Week 2 — and their offense has managed just 85 total yards through two weeks. Quarterback play has been a major issue, with Charon Sweeney and Tessa Ortiz-Marsh combining for 66 passing yards and no touchdowns. Los Angeles will be eager to rebound after a 28-13 loss to San Diego, and a home matchup against a Tennessee team still finding its footing could be just what the Legends need to get back on track. Jazmin Gamble-Tello (85 rushing yards in Week 2) and Meagan Curtis should have room to run against a Trojans defense that has allowed 54 points in two games.

Kansas City Glory
1-1
vs
Oregon Ravens
1-1
6:00 PM CST • Apr 11

Kansas City returns home after a narrow 18-16 loss in Utah, looking to bounce back behind Maria Fautali, who leads the entire league with 284 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns through two weeks. The Glory were dominant in their Week 1 opener (41-2 over Seattle) but looked mortal on the road. Oregon got its first win in Week 2 with an 18-14 victory over Seattle, powered by Chloe Porter's breakout 120-yard, 2-touchdown rushing performance. The Ravens' defense, led by Alexis Greer (14 combined tackles, 2.5 TFL through two weeks), has been solid, but they'll face their toughest test yet in containing Fautali and Kassidy Snowden, who has 4 interceptions on the season.

Seattle Majestics
0-2
vs
Golden State Storm
1-1
6:00 PM PST • Apr 11

Two teams trending in very different directions meet in Seattle. The Majestics are searching for answers after an 0-2 start that includes a 41-2 blowout loss to Kansas City and an 18-14 defeat to Oregon. Their defense has allowed 59 points in two games. Golden State, the league's expansion franchise, bounced back from a 36-0 shutout loss in Week 1 to crush Las Vegas 31-2 in Week 2 behind Stephanie Elizondo's 134 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. Leilani Caamal continues to be a star in the making with a league-leading 32 combined tackles. Seattle has home field, but the momentum — and the confidence — belongs to the Storm.

Las Vegas Silver Stars
0-2
vs
San Diego Rebellion
2-0
6:00 PM PST • Apr 11

Las Vegas hosts the undefeated Rebellion in what shapes up as a tough ask for the Silver Stars. San Diego has been dominant through two weeks, outscoring opponents 64-13 behind a balanced attack led by Kesz Wesley (108 rushing yards), Danny Trainor (156 passing yards, 2 TD), and a swarming defense anchored by Brittani Lusain (23 tackles, 4.5 TFL) and Harmine Christina Leo, who recorded a team-record 3 interceptions in Week 2. The Silver Stars are 0-2 with losses of 37-7 to LA and 31-2 to Golden State. Quarterback play remains their biggest challenge, with their signal callers combining for just 49 passing yards through two games. Las Vegas has playmakers in Dominque Maloy and Brynn McNabb, but generating enough offense to stay with San Diego's elite defense will be an uphill battle.

Three undefeated teams. Three winless teams. Ten in the middle.
The WNFC has never been more wide open.
